I have decided to (attempt to) make a small, simple comic of sorts for every day of 2018. Partly because I've been wanting to get back into drawing properly for years but never managed it and partly just to give myself a project to distract me from the insanity of life that I can work on when I'm bored.

This is very much a personal project and the type of comics I'm posting varies quite a bit because I'm just making whatever I feel like at the time. Sometimes it looks like a traditional daily webcomic and there's some kind of joke or topical observation in there, sometimes it's a way for me to express how I'm feeling and talk about serious life stuff, sometimes it's just an excuse to doodle something I feel like doodling, and I'm just getting started with including a weekly strip with actual characters and a continuing plot in the mix as well (yes, Oval Guy and Long Bloke is a genuine thing that I'm doing that I'm making proper plans for, it's not a joke, it's gonna be great!). The idea is that by the end of the year I will have gotten back into the habit of doing creative stuff every day, my arty skills and techniques might have improved a bit through all the practice, and I will have a decent record of my experience of 2018 that I will be able to look back on in the future like a diary or a kind of time capsule. If I actually make it that far.

New comics will be posted first on Twitter and Tumblr and then added to this site ASAP. Each comic's page includes links to the Twitter and Tumblr posts for that comic in case you want to like or retweet or reblog anything (would be much appreciated!). You can see every comic I've made so far (that I've remembered to add here) on the comic index and navigate between them once you've opened one. Or just load a random comic.
